Independent, And Not A Tour Operator
This site is an independent comparison site for ghost tours in St. Augustine, Florida. It is not a tour operator. It runs no walks, no pub crawls and no trolleys, and it is not any of the companies behind the cards: A Ghostly Encounter, Last Ghost Tour, US Ghost Adventures, GHOST AUGUSTINE, GhoSt Augustine, Haunting Hour St. Augustine or Ghost City Tours. Every booking happens on the operator's own live listing, and this site never touches your payment.
Where The Money Comes From
Each book button on a tour card points to a listing that carries this site's partner code. The eleven tours compared across these pages, from the A Ghostly Encounter walk to the golf cart rides and haunted pub crawls, are booked through live listings on Viator and GetYourGuide. A small number of hotel stays near the historic district are linked through Expedia via the Travelpayouts affiliate network. A couple of guides also link two further GetYourGuide listings for experiences outside that core roster: an after-dark event at the Old Jail and a daytime trolley tour. When a reader reserves a tour, a room, or one of those extra experiences through a tagged link, the platform involved shares part of its commission with this site. Your price stays where it was: the amount at checkout matches the figure you would see by searching out the same listing yourself.
Commission on bookings is the sole income stream. No display ads appear anywhere on these pages, no operator has bought a placement or a flattering write-up, and nothing here is sponsored. Every network currently in use, Viator, GetYourGuide and Expedia via Travelpayouts, is named above, and any network added later would appear in this paragraph before its first tagged link goes live.
The Parts Of A St. Augustine Visit That Pay Nothing
Walking the historic downtown streets costs nothing, and neither does standing outside the Castillo de San Marcos or watching the lighthouse from the shoreline. Every haunted landmark the guides point out is viewed from the street, and paying entry to any building that charges admission, like the Old Jail, is a transaction between you and that attraction. Tours with no bookable listing to verify simply do not get a card here. Free and operator-direct options get a fair mention whenever they beat something that would earn this site money.
What Money Never Touches
- Inclusion. Nothing gets a card just for existing. Each of the eleven tours here had to be bookable, run by an outfit that actually operates in St. Augustine, and shown with the same numbers its own listing publishes.
- Ranking. Position is not for sale. Within each category, tours are ordered by review count, which is why the Ghosts and Gravestones trolley leads its section. Operators cannot buy a place, swap it, or move a card up the page.
- What we say about them. The most reviewed walk carries 2,484 reviews and the Dead Walk tour carries 5, and both figures appear exactly as the booking platform publishes them. Where a listing does not state an operator, the card says so instead of inventing one.
- What we leave out. The same product listed twice under different names, brand-new listings with no reviews to judge by, and tours whose ratings fall too low to recommend with a straight face. What is left is a deliberate shortlist of eleven.
How Each Figure Is Sourced
Ratings, review counts and durations are copied from each tour's live listing exactly as it displays them. No figure is rounded, weighted or nudged to flatter a favorite. Prices move with dates and ticket options, so check the live listing for the current price before you book.
